What: Mobile in the shape of a Christmas tree.
Supplies: Paper, scissors, pencil, thread, needle, beads.
Duration: 30 minutes.
How to: Cut the paper in circles from big to small. I made 18 circles, which I randomly cut into wobbly arms, to make it look like a tree. Don’t be afraid to just cut the paper, it’s not that important that all pieces are similar (to me it is not, at least).
Start with a bead on the bottom of your thread and string it through the first layer of paper. Add a bead and then the next layer of paper. Continue until you have no pieces of paper anymore.
I added a couple of beads on the top, but that is optional of course.
The story behind it: I’d been eying these rather sophisticated mobiles on Pinterest for a very long time. I think they are so elegant.
My daughter was not in the mood to help me on this one, so I made it myself (that is also why the first pictures are a bit lousy, I made it in the evening when it was dark). But I think she could easily have helped me with cutting the (bigger) pieces of paper or have helped me stringing the whole thing together.
